.
Post-Primary Endorsements!
The recommendations listed below have been placed on consent calendar to earn the endorsement of the California Young Democrats at our Executive Committee Meeting in Anaheim.
.
Some helpful FAQs:
.
Q. Why aren’t ALL races in CA listed?
A. Because only those candidates that received 2/3rds positive recommendation at regional pre-endorsement caucus moved to consent calendar at CYD Executive Committee Meeting.
.
Q. If no one was recommended in a specific race, can we nominate from the floor?
A. No. Our process does not allow floor nominations for races not recommended for consent calendar.
.
Q. Hey- I wanted a different candidate than the one recommended- what could I do?
A. Any chapter or CYD officer may pull a nomination for individual consent. At that point, a vote must be made on the candidate recommended for consent calendar. If the candidate recommend fails to get 50%+1 votes in the room, another candidate may be nominated.
.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our process! See you in Anaheim!
.
All Dem on Non-Dem races are automatically endorsed and all Endorsements made in Dem on Dem Races where the primary endorsed Democrat advances also stand. These aforementioned endorsements CANNOT be pulled during the Executive Committee Meeting
