Fellow Young Democrats:
Today we honor those who have lost their lives and the people that responded to the tragedy with steadfast determination. The attacks were meant to cause divisive feelings, but only served to unite fellow Americans. In the shadows of these attacks, we weren’t blue or red or green Americans, we all collectively supported one another to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
We should celebrate this day to remember that unity and to always remember to never forget. If you have not already participated in the annual day of service we have come to celebrate, these are a few organizations that have proven to be worthwhile in helping the victims and first responders to 9/11.
Below are links to those organizations that help provide volunteer opportunities as well as ways to contribute to a worthy cause.
On this day – September 11 – we thank the service members who stepped up and risked their lives and inspired a nation that perseverance will overcome fear and that good will always triumph over evil.
