Igor Tregub is an experienced housing, environmental justice, and labor advocate passionate about bringing diverse voices into the fold of the organizations he is a part of. Prior to becoming CYD National Committeeman, he served as the CYD VP of Membership, Bay Area Regional Director, and Resolutions Chair and continues to co-chair the CYD Environmental Caucus, which he co-founded. Igor is also the Young Democrats of America Parliamentarian, Labor Caucus officer, and immediate past Pacific Region Director.

His service to the Democratic Party also includes work as Immediate Past President of the East Bay Young Democrats, Delegate and Legislation Committee Member of the California Democratic Party (subject to reappointment by new CDP leadership), and Treasurer of the CDP Environmental Caucus. He is an Alternate Member on the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee, member of its Resolutions Committee, and represents it as an E-Board Representative to the CDP.

In his local community, Igor serves as an elected Berkeley Rent Stabilization Board Commissioner, chairs the Berkeley Zoning Adjustments Board, Berkeley Housing Advisory Commission, and the 35,000-member Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter and is on the Advisory Board of New Leaders Council – Oakland.

Professionally, Igor is a safety specialist and engineer with the U.S. government and has completed safety and nuclear nonproliferation assignments in California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Central Asia. Igor is the cofounder and principal at Tregub and Associates Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in political campaigns and land use and enjoying a 75% win ratio for local and countywide races.

Igor is a recipient of the 2015 Assembly Certificate for being a founding member of the Black Young Democrats of the East Bay, the 2012 California Young Democrats Officer of the Year Award, the 2012 Cal Berkeley Democrats Alumnus of the Year Award, and a 2011 Certificate of Congressional Recognition by Rep. Barbara Lee for hosting the Berkeley Foreclosure Prevention and Resources Workshop.
